Like many people, if you want to start losing weight or getting in better shape, you may be working yourself to the bone. A lot of people think that the more they work out, the better the results in terms of pounds lost and time it took before you saw results. To this end, a lot of people workout as much as an hour a day, just about every day of the week. Unfortunately, they never see the results they wanted or they come with so much personal sacrifice as to no longer seem worth it.
Fortunately, there is a growing amount of studies that show it might be best for you to workout far less. In fact, you may be able to enjoy far greater results by spending less time at the gym.
Instead of doing a ton of different exercises, focus on just the deadlift, the bench press and the squat. Do each one once a week, doing five sets of five reps. Wait five minutes between sets.
Now a lot of people may worry this will make them huge or too big for their own clothes. That’s not the case, though. So long as you stick to your normal diet and don’t up the calories, your proportions will be largely the same.
However, you will grow bigger, stronger muscles. Not only are they better for practical reasons, you can also count on them to actually outcompete the fat in your body for nutrients too, leaving the latter no option but to go away.
